Secret Projects x3 Finished

Done, finished, completed, handed over = RELIEF!!!!!

Ahhh it's over, now I can relax and do some non-deadline projects. For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, check out my previous blog on WIP Stress.

So here's the story:-

My friend got married this weekend (well actually she'll say she's my adopted daughter - I don't remember adopting her but let's not split hairs shall we- "luv u J3nnywren" (smile:)

Anyways, as her wedding day loomed and in a fit of.....well let's say that I lost the plot for a while.... I told her that I was going to knit her something for the wedding.  I was actually thinking of knitting one item but fell in love with knitting on small needles (2.75mm) and the Rowan Mercerised Cotton, that I couldn't help myself and did two extra items for her.

She got married on the 28th August 2011 and I started on the 2nd August - yea, crazy I know, with my crazy schedule but I was knitting all round the clock, on the plane, everywhere I could think off.

We had a surprise bridal lunch for her on the 18th August (that was a feat in itself, I can tell you, just to keep her from finding out) and I gave the parcel to her but I wasn't allowed to tell you until after the wedding.  So this is what I produced and what she got:

And this is her wearing the garter on her Wedding Day, (I can't show you the photo with her carrying the bag as she hasn't got her official wedding photo's yet):

I'm so pleased with the bag especially, its the first time I have ever knitted a bag (with lining I might add..) and also with beads, look:

(oops should have had a manicure before I took the photo.....do ignore this!)

Click on links below for patterns, (I have modified these to fit in with the theme, size of the bride (little Miss Tiny) and my own artistic licence!!):

WIP August 2011

Hi Folks, I know I have been missing for a while but I have been incredibly busy working on the secret projects and because I couldn't take photos, decided it would be boring to tell you how I was progressing on them.

Anyway all three secret projects are now finished....whey hey...yeah...whoop whoop...thank the Lord!!..., (if you read my previous blog you'll see why I am so happy!!!).  Unfortunately, I can't show you what these projects are until next Friday (FO Friday - not this Friday, next Friday...get it???), I can hear you saying ..."Oh the suspense!!!"  Don't worry here is some nice photos of my progress on the Lace Leaf Wrap and the Baby Blankie, to keep you going.....

Unfortunately, no progress on the Mohair Wrap: (sad face):
